RapidDeploy has won the Chairman’s Award at the annual SAVCA Industry Awards recognising portfolio companies that have thrived from private capital investment, particularly private equity and venture capital.
The Chairman's Award is a special category that recognises outstanding achievement. In this case, RapidDeploy was honoured for their life saving technology – innovation born in South Africa that made its mark on the global stage.
HAVAÍC's Tyrone Moodley joined RapidDeploy General Manager Darran Finn onstage to accept the award in Sandton on Friday, 7 November.
A HAVAÍC portfolio company since 2022, RapidDeploy's African-born technology powers Next Generation 911 response centres and first responders across the United States. In February this year, the company was acquired by US-listed tech giant Motorola Solutions (NYSE: MSI) - marking one of the largest tech exits in South African history.
“This milestone isn’t just a win for RapidDeploy - it’s a win for every South African founder proving that global impact can start right here at home.” – Steven Raucher, Founder of RapidDeploy.
2025 marked the third year in a row that a HAVAÍC portfolio company is nominated. Following in the footsteps of AURA and hearX Group, RapidDeploy was nominated in the Large Company category, recognising enterprises with a valuation exceeding R1.5 billion.
HAVAÍC's Managing Partner, Ian Lessem, was also nominated in the inaugural General Partner (GP) Award, celebrating fund managers who have provided exceptional support to a portfolio company.
Congratulations to all the nominees and winners.
